Midlands Highland Dancers

Welcome to the site of the Post School of Highland Dance, Inc.'s Midlands Highland Dancers! We are a fun-filled group of dancers that enjoy practicing, performing and embracing Scottish culture through music and dance. We hold weekly classes in Omaha and Ashland teaching Scottish Highland Dancing.
We also have a live piper in the Omaha class regularly, Dance "Dad & Husband" Don, livens up the experience and provide a fun way to practice at different tempos and with varying tunes.
We have begun 2009 with a bang! Our 2nd annual Robert Burn's Potluck and Ceildh was loaded with music, fellowship, laughter, and last but not least, lots of dancing! All the dancers are looking forward to another year of events.
To help promote and save for a dance competition in their home area, the dancers have kicked off a couple new fundraisers for the Highland Games, including their own clothing line. You can support the dancers by checking out our Links page.
The first annual Midlands Celtic Festival was a hit in 2008, and we know 2009 will be even better! The dance competition had a good showing of dancers from around the region, and Canada! The dancers worked very hard with the planning and implementation of the festival. You can donate to the Games by clicking on the Paypal link below. Donations to the festival are tax-deductible!
